Dear Brother, Greetings in the name of the Lord! Audrey and I were at the 9 A.M. service today and had the chance to pray with and to be prayed for by the after church prayer group.
We appreciate your observations of your life there in Tanzania with the saints there. The photos help put skin on your words. We will join you in praying for wisdom from the Lord Spirit in what He wants you to bring to His people gathered there. I wonder if He wants you to bring your needs.
We sat in the 2nd pew this A.M. with Ramona, who is looking so much better, and I noticed the folks bowing to the front of the church when they came before the altar. Assuming they were honoring the Presence of the Lord in the Reserved Sacrament, I wondered if one might also face the Congregation and bow, honoring the Presence of the Lord in the hearts of those who have received Him....? Does this translate to where you are?
God bless you dear Chuck, I was so excited to read your blog. You made life there come alive for me and I felt as though I was there with you. Our church family is praying and persevering while you're away blessing others. You are always remembered and prayed for. Thank you for expressing your prayers needs. I hope you have a wonderful trip to the Kahara Deanery for the Confirmation and Ordination service this week-end. Please tell our brothers and sisters in Christ you’re with that we are praying for you and them and know our Lord will bless you all. God bless and anoint you with love and joy for your new African loved ones. My love always, Beth PS Summer has come this week to MDI and promises to be over by next week - so you aren't missing a memorable one. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me & find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13
Greetings Fr. Chuck. With hardly more than one month to go in Africa, you've done so much already. Finally we have a sister Church - that's great. Our Alpha meeting went very well. If you have access to COOF mail you'll see who came and what went on. I am very optimistic that this is what The Lord wants to happen on MDI and all around. Blake Brown has taken up a position of co-leadership with me. He stepped up to it - just like that!! Like Beth told you, we haven't had much of a summer. I missed the hot days a couple of weeks ago - was in seattle to see Paul. He has a friend who is on fire for Jesus. Suppose this friendship is The Lord's work? I pray so. Stay well and safe and thank you for bringing Church of Our Father halfway around the world. Blessings. David and Kathy
Fr. Chuck, Well, the weather did get better here. Now the Summer has passed and we can say there was a balance.
In case you get to read this (it is days past your posting)--I wanted to say that I appreciate the effort it takes to get to a computer, thank God the electricity is on, have all you need to upload a photo or two or three from your camera, choose the right ones, add a comment and edit it all. It must be a feat! We surely appreciate it. I like how David says that it puts skin on what you are experiencing. It helps us understand.
